St. Patrick's Day Festivities
The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Dyersville has a variety of fun and activities to celebrate the holidays. The annual parade through Dyersville organized by the Ancient Order of the Hibernians showcases traditional Irish bag piping, Irish choirs and bands as well as customized floats from throughout the state made specifically to showcase the Irish Holiday. Parade begins at 1:30pm.

The St. Patrick’s Day Festival also includes a bike ride called Ride the Shamrock which takes bike riders from Dyersville to Petersburg where there are traditional Irish games, food, bands and more. A shuttle bus also escorts those wishing not to participate in the bike ride to and from Dyersville and Petersburg. For those wishing to burn even more energy, Total fitness in Dyersville also sponsors a 5K run called the Gaelic Gallop for adults and the Leprechaun Leap for youth. More than 4,000 people from around the area and throughout the state participate in the festivities that take place over the St. Patrick’s Holiday.
